A supertanker involved in illegal activity, carrying crude oil and trying to deviate from the permitted route through the Strait of Hormuz, exploded in a massive explosion after colliding with a sea mine in a high-risk designated area.

The tanker, which disabled its navigation and positioning systems, is now engulfed in massive fire following the collision with the sea mine. The flames are clearly visible to residents along the coast.

The Revolutionary Guards renews its warning to vessels passing through the strait and calls on them to comply with the new regulations and policies regarding the strait, as this was the result of ignoring the new policy of the strait.
