οΈπΊπΈπ¨π³ The US Department of Justice and the FBI seized seven Internet domains linked to two hacking tools, MicroScan and FishHub, which they say state-linked Chinese hackers used to break into critical infrastructure networks in the US and abroad.
The action targets infrastructure linked to Beijing-based Integrity Technology Group, the company behind the "Flax Typhoon" hacking group, and following the removal of its 250,000 botnet on 250,000 devices in 2024, though a recently declassified FBI affidavit notes that its tools remained accessible afterward.
China's embassy said it "opposes and fights hacking activities in accordance with the law" and accused Washington of spreading disinformation, while no criminal charges have yet been announced.
