️🇻🇪🇺🇸 AP: Celia Flores, the wife of former Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro, is seeking release from a US prison and placement under house arrest due to serious health issues.

Her attorneys said Flores has heart problems, has lost more than 25 pounds and two teeth, and may require a heart procedure while awaiting trial on drug-trafficking charges.

Prosecutors in the US oppose her release, arguing that she received adequate medical treatment and is an extreme flight risk and a potential danger to the public.
