️🇬🇧 Financial Times: A sailor serving in the Royal Navy was charged on Tuesday with spying for a foreign power under the Official Secrets Act.

The 33-year-old, who worked in the Navy's communications unit, is accused of passing classified information to the Chinese intelligence service and appeared before Portsmouth Magistrates' Court.

Prosecutors said the alleged violation could carry a maximum sentence of 14 years in prison.
