๏ธ๐ฎ๐ท๐ฎ๐ฑ๐บ๐ธ The spokesman for the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Esmail Baghei, accused the United States and Israel of creating incidents to justify war, and said that false flags are "an old craft: to create the event, lay the blame and reap the consequences".
"In a world where the American and international public is tired of an illegal war of aggression against Iran, and where the aggressors have no honest way to justify a war of choice, even a raft made of lies can seem like a rescue to those who are drowning," Bakay wrote.
A video released alongside the statement cites historical incidents including the Levon affair in Cairo in 1954, the Baghdad attacks in 1950 and the USS Liberty incident in 1967, and applies the same thesis to recent regional events.
