οΈπΊπ¦π·πΊ WSJ: A silent electronic battle is raging in the Russia-Ukraine war, as both sides attack and defend communications signals on an unprecedented scale.
Ukraine's Night Watch unit used its Lima system to confuse ballistic missiles over the Dnieper, and in November it intercepted a Hypersonic Kinzel by projecting a false navigation signal that forced it to change course and break up.
Ukrainian and Western experts said such systems could thwart ballistic missile attacks at a fraction of the cost of Patriot interceptors, although they are not a perfect replacement.
