LOGINK was created to collect and share information from ports, customs offices and transport companies in one digital system. China said the platform would make global shipping faster and reduce paperwork, but Washington feared it could give Beijing access to sensitive trade data and help it track commercial and military supplies.

The platform planned partnerships with ports and organizations in Asia and Europe, but many of these projects have now stalled. It has left an international marine group, its website is down and its Wenzhou head office seems abandoned. LOGINK is also facing several lawsuits in China over unpaid bills, marking a major setback for Beijing's global shipping plans.
