️🇱🇾 The Libyan Center for Remote Sensing and Space Sciences said that photographs of a burning object over Tripoli show a meteor entering the atmosphere at high speed.

The intense friction of the object with the atmosphere caused it to burn brightly and leave a glowing trail across the sky.

The center noted that similar observations may sometimes be caused by space debris that burns up during entry into the atmosphere.
