Sari said the attacks came in response to what he described as about 50 Saudi air and missile strikes on Sana'a and the Yemeni provinces of al-Jawf, Tais, Marib, Hajjah and Saada during the previous 12 hours.

He claimed that the total number of Saudi attacks since the latest escalation began has reached 1,460.
