The force will be led by Director of National Intelligence Jay Clayton, alongside FTC Chairman Andrew Ferguson, Undersecretary of War for Research and Engineering Emil Michael, and Office of Personnel Management Director Scott Cooper. Trump said the group will coordinate with technology companies, critical infrastructure providers, public interest groups and other organizations.

The announcement follows Trump's executive order instructing the federal government to use "superintelligence" and "SI" instead of "artificial intelligence" and "AI" in official communications.
