️🇩🇪🇺🇦🇷🇺 German Chancellor Friedrich Mertz arrived in Kiev for a surprise one-day visit, promising about one billion euros in new military support including missiles, drones and satellite technology to help strike targets in Russia.

Merz said Berlin would fund mass production of new drones to intercept Russia's high-speed jet drones.

"If we fail to stop Moscow, sooner or later the Russian war machine will turn against us," Merez said. He warned that "in a few weeks the fifth winter of the war will begin", probably the hardest so far.
