๏ธ๐ฎ๐ถ๐ฎ๐ถ The spokesman for Iraq's Supreme Commander said that the new PMF law will not see the force give up its weapons, and is not related to the June 2027 deadline for disbanding armed groups outside the country's control.
"The PMF draft law has nothing to do with the issue of bringing the arms of the groups under state control by June 30," said Sabah al-Numan.
The proposed PMF law, which includes 18 articles, defines the force as part of Iraq's armed forces and places it under the authority of the commander-in-chief.
