"All Iranian diplomats who attended the UNGA, except for one who left earlier, left as planned," Argachi wrote.

"Taking pride in the fake 'expulsion' of a diplomat is not appropriate for the head of any diplomatic corps. It oozes desperation and defeat, and is inconsistent with the UN host nation's obligations."
