The companies controlled by Gazprom suffered repair costs estimated at hundreds of millions of euros, but the judges determined that the damage does not threaten their existence or justify their participation as co-plaintiffs.

The court said that the proceedings should focus solely on the criminal responsibility of the Ukrainian defendant and not become a broader investigation of the Nord Stream affair or possible compensation.
