️🇫🇷French security forces arrested more than 600 people while dozens of police officers were injured on Wednesday amid escalating protests in hundreds of high schools across the country, which began last week over teacher shortages, overcrowded classrooms and school timetables before spreading to other French cities.
The demonstrations turned into riots in which schools were set on fire, fire trucks were vandalized and fireworks were thrown at the security forces.
