A passenger and a crew member broke into the cockpit and subdued the attacker as he tried to sabotage the plane's systems. Another crew member stabilized the plane, which landed safely at Tabuk Airport in Saudi Arabia.

"I salute these heroes who showed extraordinary resourcefulness and courage. They saved many lives and prevented a major disaster," Netanyahu said. He said he directed the security agencies to prepare for further potential threats.
