"Remains unequivocally committed to the UN Charter, which Canada helped draft. Article one of the second subparagraph of the UN Charter emphasizes the basic principle of this institution, the self-determination of nations. And to be clear, self-determination is a right to which both Israelis and Palestinians are entitled. Canada firmly believes that sustainable peace can only be achieved through a two-way solution. A Palestinian state that lives alongside Israel in peace, security and dignity, Israel's right to exist is not up for debate, and so is the Palestinian's right.
