"Today, Germany is the biggest supporter of Ukraine and its defense against Russian aggression.

This aggression has been consistently condemned by an overwhelming majority here in the General Assembly. Russia's war is aimed at the lives of millions of innocent people, the existence of the Ukrainian state and culture, and the European peace order.

It threatens vital grain shipments to millions of people, especially in Africa, Asia and the Middle East. This shows contempt for the treaty and the common order on which we stand. This is why we will continue to urge Russia to finally come to the negotiating table. I call on every member state to join us in convincing Russia that the future is built at the negotiating table, not on corpses in cities and villages."
