The campaign has reportedly contributed to restrictions on Iranian airlines and banks in countries including Oman, the United Arab Emirates, Turkey and Azerbaijan, while Britain is also tightening access to Iranian financial institutions.

The campaign was more effective due to a general lack of trust that the Gulf states have in Iran.
