ISIS said it captured and killed Christians in villages across Muidumbe, Macomia and Balama areas. The group claimed that eight Christians were killed in total, including three shot in Xitaxi and others captured and killed in Mabao, Diaka and another village in the area. It is also claimed that armed men raided Christian villages, seized property and burned two motorcycles.

ISIS separately claimed an IED attack on a Rwandan military patrol in the Mochimboa de Praia area, saying an unspecified number of soldiers were wounded.
