Syrian Oil Company's refinery manager Tarek Shalash says the first gasoline cargo of about 32,800 tons was unloaded at the Banias refinery in Syria and loaded onto 77 trucks earlier this week.

Iraqi Oil Ministry spokesman Al-Riqbi referred to the transportation route:

"A contract was signed between SOMO and the Qatari company for the supply of improved gasoline to Iraq through the port of Banias using road tankers, and the supply was actually delivered on a regular basis."
