The Patriot battery, operated by Greek military personnel, fired two interceptor missiles.

Saudi authorities earlier issued a flash warning of potential threats in several areas, including Makkah, Jeddah, Yanbu, Tabuk and Taif.

Greece has deployed the Patriot battery in Saudi Arabia since 2021 to help protect the kingdom's energy infrastructure.
