️🇪🇹 Reuters: Leaders of Tigray region announced they have entered a new war with Ethiopia's federal government as fighting broke out in Tigray and nearby Afar and Amhara regions, destroying the November 2022 Pretoria peace deal.

The TPLF announced it had formed an alliance with six armed groups, seized federally controlled airports in Tigray and launched an all-out offensive, while Ethiopian Airlines suspended flights to the region and federal spokeswoman Billene Seyum claimed the alliance was financially supported by Eritrea.

Sources confirmed that Tigryan forces were fighting alongside local groups in Afar and Fano militia in Amhara, marking a major escalation after months of rising hostilities.
