Netanyahu pointed to the killing of Nathaniel Shukron, a French-Israeli father of six who was shot dead in a Palestinian attack in the West Bank on Sunday.

"The grotesque absurdity in Emmanuel Macron's statement is amazing," Netanyahu's office said.

"Hamas terrorists carry out attacks against Jews almost every day. They murdered countless Israeli citizens in Judea and Samaria."

"Ignorance is no excuse for erasing their blood."
