Fars says Kyodo and Reuters reports, citing Iranian sources, claimed Tehran could reopen Hormuz within seven days if Washington eased military pressure and lifted its blockade of Iranian ports.

However, Iranian sources described the reports as inaccurate and unreliable. Fars also noted that oil prices fell by around 3% during a Pakistani official's visit to Tehran, arguing that similar diplomatic reports have surfaced repeatedly with oil price declines.
