Reuters: Lithuania plans a heavily built power plant near the Kaliningrad enclave in Russia to protect a critical power link between the Baltic states and Western Europe.

The facility in Giza will include armored concrete compartments designed to withstand explosive drones, anti-explosion fences, underground sensors, and backup equipment to maintain operations after an attack.

The additional security measures will cost at least €48 million more than the original plan. Lithuania is requesting EU funding amid intelligence concerns about possible Russian sabotage or a false flag attack, allegations that have not been proven.
