Al‑Zaidy said that Iraq lost 60% of its monthly export revenues and about $60 billion since the start of the war, due to the closure of the Strait of Hormuz.

According to him, Iran did not allow Iraqi tankers to pass through the Strait. "Their goal is to raise global oil prices," he said.
