The additional material will allow for the production of about 28,000 additional "Gran" kamikaze UAVs annually, a 78% increase on current output that, according to Ukraine, already exceeds 36,000 a year, after a UAV recently struck a passenger train on the Polish border.

The move underscores Russia's effort to expand its deadly drone program, with the new capability potentially delivering tens of thousands more attacks on Ukrainian cities.
