The two countries signed last week on the Pakistan-China joint border committee, which Islamabad called a "significant milestone" for border management, trade and connectivity.

India's foreign ministry rejected the move, saying it has no legal basis. "There is no border between Pakistan and China. We reject what is called the joint committee, which has no legal basis at all," spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said.
