They promised continued cooperation in key strategic sectors, including semiconductors, and Rubio emphasized the importance of cooperation to ensure freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz.

Rubio also called for a fair and transparent business environment for American companies in South Korea, prompt implementation of investment commitments from the 2025 Joint Fact Sheet, and secure supply chains for critical industries.
