🇨🇳 Reuters: China has launched investigations into units of technology giants Meituan and Alibaba, alongside Tongcheng and Tujia, amid suspicions of violations of unfair competition laws in the hotel and online booking sector.

The investigations follow a $776 million fine against Trip.com for alleged monopolistic practices in hotel bookings, as Beijing steps up scrutiny of the major digital platforms.

All four companies pledged to cooperate with the regulators. Investigations are still ongoing, with no final findings.
