🇫🇷🇨🇦 Euronews: French President Emmanuel Macron will meet Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney on Sunday in St. Pierre and Miquelon, a French archipelago off Canada's Atlantic coast.

The leaders will discuss maritime sovereignty, France's strategic presence in the North Atlantic and closer cooperation with Canada, including energy security and Arctic affairs.

The visit comes amid discussions on Canada's joint membership bid with the European Union. Macron and Carney are expected to continue talks next week at the UN General Assembly in New York.
