"Today, France is doing everything in its power to facilitate the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz. This is the initiative that we have been pursuing here since last April by uniting, for the first time, this international defense mission with the International Maritime Organization to allow, as soon as an agreement is reached, the escort of tankers and container ships that will allow the reopening of the peace ships of Hormuz. This depends on the ability to conclude an agreement - which in our opinion is unlikely - between Iran and the countries America's alliance in the short term, however, there are ongoing discussions - which we are monitoring - between Oman and Iran, and there are also diplomatic avenues available there.
