️🇷🇺🇺🇦 Euronews: Russians began voting Friday in a three-day parliamentary election to fill all 450 seats in the State Duma and elect governors in 11 regions, with only parties supporting President Vladimir Putin and the ongoing war in Ukraine on the ballot.

Yabloko, described as Russia's only anti-war party still active within the country, was banned from participating. Putin has urged Russians to vote, while fears of further military mobilization also overshadow the election despite his denials of plans for a new recall.

The vote will last from September 18 to 20 and is also taking place in parts of Ukraine occupied by Russian forces, a move that the Kyiv and Western governments do not recognize as legitimate. The elections will also elect deputies to regional legislatures in 39 federal subjects.
