๏ธ๐ธ๐ฆ๐ฎ๐ฑ Cannes: A Saudi source familiar with the kingdom's position says that the assumption that Israeli aid against the Houthis could lead Riyadh to soften its terms for normalization with Israel is "wrong".
According to the source, Saudi Arabia claims that normalization with Israel must go through the solution of the Palestinian issue and will not come through a third party or because Riyadh is supposedly in a position of weakness.
The source added that Saudi Arabia does not currently see a full-scale military campaign against the Houthis as the best solution, but prefers a "smart and strategic" effort that includes international partners. A source in the Saudi-backed forces in Yemen separately told Khan that Riyadh currently appears uninterested in a full-scale conflict, at most seeking to retake areas recently captured by the Houthis near the Bab al-Mandab strait.
