Aon said that his participation in the preparatory meeting for the international conference reflects Lebanon's commitment to expand the state's authority and place all weapons under legitimate government control. His meeting with President Emmanuel Macron will deal with the Israeli attacks on southern Lebanon, the future of UNIFIL and the ongoing negotiations with Israel and the US.

Aoun also condemned the reported attempt to attack Mecca, expressed Lebanon's full solidarity with Saudi Arabia and called for a united Arab and Islamic response to threats to the holy places.
