️🇯🇵 The Japan Air Defense Force lost contact with the RQ-4B Global Hawk surveillance drone around 1:00 p.m. local time on Tuesday, about 50 km off the coast of Tottori Prefecture, when the Japan Coast Guard reportedly spotted an apparent piece of the aircraft floating in the sea.
The drone, normally stationed with two others at Misawa Air Base, had an unclear mission when it disappeared from radar.
