Speaking at the IAEA General Conference, he said the agency remains ready to work with Tehran to clarify existing issues and respect Iran's security concerns, but must continue to maintain the work of safeguarding and verifying the program's peaceful nature.

According to him, the IAEA is "stubbornly optimistic" that a solution can be reached.
