️🇮🇷🇦🇹🇺🇸 Iran's ambassador in Vienna said that Security Council Resolution 2231 expired on October 18, 2025, meaning all US restrictions against Iran have ended permanently.

According to him, Western references to the Snapback mechanism are "nothing but a political act".

He pointed out that no official "Sanctions Committee" has convened since 2015 and that the claims regarding automatic sanctions conflict with Article 27 of the UN Charter. He added that the US did not seriously fulfill its obligations under the nuclear agreement.
