Zelensky says that the Vivaldi operation is still in progress, with about 125 to 140 square kilometers occupied.
He puts Russian losses at about 42,000 a month over the past two to three months, up from 30,000 to 32,000 earlier this year.
Of that monthly figure, 21,000 to 22,000 are killed and the rest are seriously injured, he says. He adds that Ukraine's losses in the attack are several times lower.
Zelensky says Ukraine will close its current funding gap by the end of the year. According to him, part of the loan for next year will be used around January to order drones for January and February 2027.
He says he trusts the U.S. wants to stop the war, but talks with Russia could drag on as Putin continues to add demands in line with changes in the U.S., Europe and other factors.
Zelensky says Putin may try to use US talks with Iran and Trump's push for victory before the midterms. He adds that the US is much stronger than Russia and you just have to remember that.
