Lavrov claims that Ukraine is part of the common geopolitical, economic and cultural reality of Russia.

He says he asked Guterres why the UN lists self-determination for Greenland but not even as an option for Ukraine, and says Guterres replied that it was different.

Lavrov claims that the West is already overrepresented in the UN Security Council and Russia opposes the addition of additional Western seats.

He adds that "full agreement exists only in a graveyard" and says that several candidates for the UN Secretary General are worthy of the position.
