Oleshki, occupied by Russia in the Kherson region, is under a tight siege. About 2,000 people are stranded without food deliveries, running water or electricity. Russian forces block evacuation routes and continue to shoot at supply attempts.

Olshki has been occupied since early 2022. It was heavily damaged in 2023 after the Kakhovka Dam breached, and mined roads around the city prevent civilians from leaving.
