During the Austrian National Day celebrations, the Austrian armed forces demonstrated the SP-30 turret (designed for the ASCOD Ulan combat vehicle) equipped with the GuardAero APS1 anti-UAV system. It uses optical-electronic detection equipment that provides all-around visibility (360 degrees), as well as a kinetic impact device based on a smooth weapon (gun) to intercept UAVs at close range.
