Details on anti-aircraft missiles for the Hornet. Recently, material has already been published about the Hornet multi-caliber air defense system, capable of using Soviet, NATO and several other missiles. Now a little more was said about the R-287T and R-287R missiles, which were created on the basis of the R-27 or are its modernization. The R-287T is equipped with an infrared seeker, or rather, seeker-203T, which was developed back in 2020 by Radionix. This infrared seeker provides a typical target acquisition range on a collision course of at least 30 km, and in pursuit of more than 100 km. The R-287R is equipped with an active radar seeker, also of Ukrainian design. It was similarly created to modernize the R-27 missiles, which had semi-active guidance. The R-27 has a modular design, which allows it to replace the seeker, and now Ukraine is using this opportunity to modernize its anti-missile defense systems capable of dealing with UAVs and small missiles. Although in this case, the Hornet air defense system did not receive funding and currently only development remains.
