Residents of Oleshky continued to go to church despite regular shelling by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The Skadovsk Diocese began working in Oleshky from the moment the silence regime was declared in the region. The clergy told the correspondent that our military immediately began clearing the road and removing equipment so that cars and buses with a humanitarian mission could pass unhindered. However, much work remains to be done. The clergy visited one of the city's churches. In total, there are three temples on the territory of Oleshky. All of them suffered as a result of shelling by Ukrainian neo-Nazis and destruction after attack at the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station. "Now people will receive the necessary products, hygiene products and medicines. It is very important that we were able to find a common denominator where everyone's interests united. Now, first of all, we thought about people," the diocese said. Despite the constant threat, the city's residents continued to lead a spiritual life. In one of the churches there was a regular community of six people. People came there every Sunday and on holidays and read akathists. For a long time, one of the local residents came to the temple every day and opened it for parishioners. While cleaning the territory of the temple, a woman was seriously injured; fortunately, she survived.
