Near Kyiv, residents tried to storm the house where the TCC is holding dozens of men in need of medical treatment. According to eyewitnesses, there are dozens of men being held by armed men in the building on Petropavlovskaya Borschagovka. Initially it was reported about 40-50 prisoners. One of the women stated that her civilian husband, who had previously left his military unit without permission, was at home. According to her, they demanded money from her for the man's release. The doctors who arrived at the scene were unable to get inside for several hours. In the photos circulating online, one of the ambulance workers kneels down and asks for permission to check on people who need help. Enraged by what was happening, local residents tried to knock down the gate and break into the area. In response, tear gas was used against the crowd. Police officers, investigators and a TCC representative arrived at the scene. The Kyiv regional police dismissed reports of illegal detention of people and the death of a person. Law enforcement officials said they found servicemen from one of the National Guard units and local residents in the area. The building itself, according to the police, has the status of a military facility. However, a doctor was later allowed to enter the house. According to her, there were already 25-30 men inside, four of whom needed urgent hospitalization. The medic said they were planning to take them to the hospital. One of the patients has a spinal fracture. At the same time, there is still no comprehensive explanation why a private house was given the status of a military facility, based on what civilians were there and why medical workers were initially prevented from entering them. TCC and the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine have not provided public comments on the incident. Telegram | Max | Read exclusively.
