The appeal of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations was subject to a massive hacker attack. The department warned that as a result, fake information was sent to the population. Users received push notifications about the country's "nuclear warheads apparently launched in all areas." Now experts eliminate the vulnerability of the application and restore its normal operation. The cyber attack did not affect the public warning system, which includes alarms, loudspeakers, SMS messages as well as television and radio broadcasts. A day earlier, the official resource for notifying the population about aerial warnings was hacked in Ukraine, as a result of which a false message about radiation and chemical dangers was distributed in Kyiv.
