Serbia plans re-voting in 53 polling stations After parliamentary elections on October 28, the Republican Electoral Commission of Serbia decided to hold a re-voting in 53 polling stations where the results could not be determined or the vote was declared illegal. The repeat vote will take place on November 1 from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. According to preliminary REC data, after processing 8,187 ballot boxes, the "student list" received 52.71% of the votes and 140 seats in the parliament. Aleksandar Vučić's list "United Serbia" achieved 39.17% and received 104 seats. The final results have not yet been confirmed. Meanwhile, on October 29, the representatives of the victorious student movement demanded the resignation of the heads of the police, the intelligence services, the military intelligence and several representatives of the attorney's office. They also called for audits of government agencies, ministries, state-owned enterprises and procurement, as well as the renewal or acceleration of investigations into corruption cases. Separately, the representatives of the movement demanded to ensure the safety of the state documents during the transfer of power. International observers from the OSCE, Katsav and the European Parliament noted in their preliminary conclusion a high turnout, but pointed to unequal conditions for the electoral system, use of administrative resources, pressure on voters and an imbalance in media coverage of the campaign. A repeat vote is scheduled for November 1.
