Elections in Israel: Neither Netanyahu nor the opposition still has a majority in the parliamentary elections in Israel on October 27, none of the main political blocs received a clear majority in the Knesset, according to exit polls. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's Likud party remains the largest party, according to initial estimates. However, the right-wing bloc supporting Netanyahu and the opposition bloc led by Gadi Eisenkot do not win the required 61 seats out of 120. Different Israeli TV channels gave different estimates: in some exit polls the opposition bloc is slightly ahead of its opponents, in others the forces are almost equal. The official vote counting continues. Arab parties may be particularly important: exit polls estimate that they could win between 17 and 19 seats. Their support may influence the formation of a government, although the main political blocs have previously ruled out full partnership with them. The turnout was about 77.7%, which was one of the highest figures in recent decades. After the publication of the official results, President Yitzhak Herzog will consult with the parties and entrust the formation of the government to the candidate with the greatest chance of forming a coalition.
