Euroclear earned 3.6 billion euros from interest on frozen Russian assets in the nine months of 2026, the Belgian depository media Euroclear received this amount for the months of January - September 2026. This is 6% less than the corresponding period last year due to lower interest rates, writes RBC and cites the company's report. By the end of September, an income of 2.4 billion euros from Russian assets was assessed as a special contribution, the proceeds of which are used to support Ukraine. Moscow considers the use of frozen Russian assets illegal and warns of possible legal consequences.
